The Eiffel Tower renovations have been completed

After two years and thirty million euros the renovations of the first floor of that iconic symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower, have been completed, and the result is nothing less than spectacular. With innovations including a new cultural path, immersion show, panoramic restaurant and glass floor, there are more reasons than ever to visit this 126 year old masterpiece of engineering and design. Also, if you wish to enjoy a romantic moment or two sipping champagne while enjoying the stunning view from the top of the tower, you can now do that, too!

A unique view of Paris from the Eiffel Tower

The first and largest floor of the Eiffel Tower has long presented an opportunity to enhance the experience of a visit to this marvel of late 19th century engineering. Due to this potential it has been renovated a number of times. The latest renovation, however, completed late last year, is surely the finest yet.

The noted Paris architects Moatti-Rivière have created new pavilions with dedicated visitor information and retail areas, a restaurant commanding an enchanting view, and other attractions. With transparent facades, diagonal lines and a careful use of colour, these structures have been created to blend in seamlessly and tastefully with the overall structure, and everything is accessible to people with disabilities.

A new non slip glass floor allows visitors to feel that they are walking on air 57 metres above the streets of the city. The effect is utterly exhilarating and should not be missed by any visitor to the city.

To complete the magical experience of a visit to Gustave Eiffel’s masterpiece, visitors can now call in at a champagne bar on the top floor. This is indeed an ideal spot to take a chic and elegant break, enjoy one of the world’s most amazing views and enjoy a refreshing glass of rosé or white.
