The Versailles Fountains Show & the Fête de la Musique: sheer magic!

'The most beautiful city in the world', 'City of Light', 'City of Love'..., these charming synonyms evoke the beauty and grandeur of Paris. Each summer the capital offers a plethora of cultural and tourist attractions, and we would like to introduce you to two of these; the Grandes Eaux Nocturnes de Versailles, otherwise known as the Versailles Fountains Show, and the Fête de la Musique.
A night-time event in the gardens of the Château de Versailles
During your summer holiday in Paris, you should not miss the incredible shows which take place weekly in the gardens of the Château de Versailles (Versailles Castle) Every Saturday evening from June 20th to September 19th, 2015, beautiful light shows, the illuminated cascading of fountains and live performances of French baroque music take place in these enchanting surroundings. The Fountains Shows offers around 2 ½ hours of truly magical moments. Attend the Fête de la Musique in the City of Light
The 34th edition of the Fête de la Musique takes place in Paris this summer. The summer solstice, June 21st, 2015, will bring an explosion of beautiful sound to the capital with all forms, styles and genres of music being represented, including rock, classical, folk, jazz and world music. This celebration will be a magical and inclusive event for Parisians and visitors from around the world. Throughout the streets of the capital and the Île-de-France region there will be an eclectic array of free concerts and shows, played by French and international musicians of both professional and amateur standing, in various indoor venues and in the open air. Staying at the Hotel Université in Saint-Germain-des-Prés you will be ideally placed to catch a myriad of performances during this great festival, in restaurants, bars, theatres, museums, cultural centres, parks and on the streets.
